Beginning in the spring of 2002,
Nelsonville's historic Public Square has been host
to a monthly community arts event. The Final Friday
of every month, (with a break in December) galleries
and retail shops stay open late to feature special
events at each venue. From 6-10 pm, visitors to the
Square can enjoy artist's demonstrations, art chats,
art openings of new works, plays and musical shows,
drum circles and sidewalk entertainment, artists and
craftsperson's selling their wares, food and beverage.

Final Friday's has many vendors
set up along the side walks of the square displaying
locally made art, jewelry, herbs, and other hand
made items. You will find a wide selection of items
plus the people you will come into contact with
are sure to be friendly and down to earth.
